3D cardiac electro anatomical cardiac physiology system - $7,450
List: $175,000. MedCon: VG. Bio sense Webster Carto model 4.0 electro
anatomical mapping system. Also called an electrophysiology system. 110-
120 V, 50/60 Hz.
This system provides an alternative to fluoroscopic guidance of an intra aortic
catheter by use of a magnetic pad and ECG leads to simultaneously map and direct a catheter to specific sites
defined by electrophysiological properties. Applications include ablation of diseased cardiac tissue to alleviate
arrhythmia. Software allows data collection, patient files and image manipulation including annotation, zoom
and rotate.
Electro anatomic mapping (EAM) records intra cardiac chamber electrical activation in relation to anatomic
location during arrhythmia mapping. Accurately determines the location of arrhythmia origin, defines 3D cardiac
chamber geometry, delineates areas of anatomic interest, and allows catheter manipulation and positioning
without fluoroscopic guidance. This can simplify mapping efforts and can increase procedural success,
especially where complex arrhythmia and unusual cardiac anatomy are encountered.
Features:
front of Carto has power on indicator lamp and connections for magnetic field locator pad, cath locator and
ECG
back of Carto has footswitch, keyboard, mouse, data port, serial, workstation, and monitor connections as
well power on/off rocker switch
