Accessories in lot 3 are not related to the equipment in lots 1 and 2 but are for the older Heartmate model. The

VADs are for post-cardiotomy recovery and bridge-to-transplantation patients and are for use with either

paracorporeal or implanted pumps. The pumps have fill sensors that allow expulsion of the blood only when the

pump chamber is full. This allows assist according to the patient's exertion level. Probably the original

prototypes of VADs were probably fixed time pumping cycles.

Batteries are serviceable for equipment testing but patient use will require new batteries. Obviously,you must

inspect and calibrate if necessary by qualified technicians before placing into patient use.

Shipping weight is about 770 pounds for lot 1, 620 pounds for lot 2, and 345 pounds for lot 3.
